Angad Kalaan hails from a family of avid polo
players. He was initiated into the game at the age of 16 under the
supervision of his father Col Raj Kalaan (a former 5-goaler himself).
Handicapped at 4 goals, Angad loves to play at the # 2 position in the
team. An extremely versatile and experienced player, he prefers a fast game,
running forward and scoring. Angad’s brilliant stick work and quick
thinking make him a formidable opponent.
First training in America in
1995 and 1997 and then later in Zambia, the UK and Europe, Angad has been a
professional since 1997.
Some of his major achievements
include:
·Winning the Indian National Championships (20 Goal)
thrice in 1996,’99, and 2002
·Winning the Northern India Polo Open (20 goal)
consecutively 4 times from 2000 to 2004 and then again in 2006
·He has twice been a
member of the Indian World Cup Team. Representing India in the 2001 finals
held in Australia.
·Captain on the Indian side for the 2007 World Cup
team.
·Captained India against England and Spain in
2007.
·In 2004 and 2007 he played the Nairobi Invitational
International Polo Tournament.
·Angad has played polo all over the world, including in
South Africa, USA, Jordan, Zambia, England, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya
Netherlands and Belgium.

Uday started playing polo at the age of 16
Played
professionally in India for the last 10 seasons, over the years having won the
major high goal tournaments in India.
Captained India against Pakistan in the
SAF Games Polo Championship in Rawalpindi in March 2004.
Was part of the
world cup team that played in the world championships in St. Moritz in
1995.
Played for India in Test Series against Barbados in April 2007
Captained against New Zealand in a Test Match in Nov 2007
Have played
in countries around the world including U.K., France Portugal, Switzerland,
USA,Zambia, Pakistan, Kenya, South Africa, Canada and Barbados.
Been on
the winning side in the Kings Cup Elephant Polo in Thailand in 2009 &
2010
Currently have a stable of 26 polo ponies, run and manage the
Haryana Polo Club, with his brother at their farm near Delhi.
